Pleasantview Industries, Inc. is an organization dedicated to providing training and support to assist consumers with developmental disabilities in successfully reaching their individually chosen goals. Individuals with disabilities and their families request services based upon their needs and preferences.

Since 1969, Pleasantview has impacted many individuals in the Santa Clarita Valley through individualized services and support. The program provides work services, supported employment and other support services in helping program participants to achieve their highest level of independence in the community.

Pleasantview was established in 1969 by a group of parents and volunteers who recognized the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities who were leaving the school system. They wanted to make sure that training, education and support services were available on a fulltime basis.

Pleasantview is governed by a Board of Directors made up of community volunteers. These individuals are committed to seeing that quality services are provided to persons with disabilities in the Santa Clarita Valley.

Funding for services is provided by the State of California Dept. of Developmental Services and Dept. of Rehabilitation. Our organization maintains the highest level of certification possible through CARF International.

Pleasantview is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) corporation.
Program participants are generally referred to our program through Regional Center. Privately funded individuals are also welcome to apply. Potential program participants must be 16 years of age or older, have a developmental disability, be in need of work skills training and support, not harmful to self or others and be able to care for their basic personal needs unassisted. Acceptance into the program is determined by interview, pre-admission screening of referral information and evaluation of the individual's potential to benefit from the program.
