Job Description

The role of the Customer Support Specialist (CSS) is to call and engage in active communication with prospective students who have responded to national advertising. The CSS is responsible for providing an excellent initial customer experience as well as providing support to the Admissions Counselors in several capacities in order to promote effective admissions processes.

Essential Functions:

· Complete an average of 300+ outgoing calls per day

· Determine if prospective student is to be transferred and if so, transferring to the appropriate person for further assistance

· Setting appointments for Admissions Counselors if/when applicable

· Maintains database by inputting, verifying, and backing up data per department policy

· Meets minimum production volume per company standards to facilitate operations

· Continuously provide quality service to prospective students

Additional Responsibilities:

· Respond to student inquiries via email

· Make regular outgoing calls

· Input data into the computer data base

· Attend department and company meetings necessary to perform duties

· Report to Admissions team leaders if/when faced with any challenges

· Assist Admissions Counselors if/when requested by management

Education and Experience
• Must have telephone call center experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience with automatic telephone dialing systems and other telecommunications technologies a plus
• Animal experience a plus

Physical Requirements
• Must be able to work a 40-hour workweek
• Regularly required to sit for long periods of time in front of the computer
• Perform general office duties
