Job Description
General Summary: The Production and Sanitation Specialist (PSS) is responsible for the cleaning in the kitchen including washing dishes, utensils, cookware, and the overall sanitation of the department. The PSS will assist the cook(s) with food preparation as required; providing the highest quality of service at all times; and performing all other responsibilities as directed by the Director of Food Services.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
High-school diploma or GED. Requires the ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents. Able to regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds consistently, occasionally lift and/or move over 50 pounds, and to spend long periods of time on feet. Requires the ability to bend, twist, and stand to perform normal job functions. Frequently immerses hands in water and water diluted with chemical solutions.Frequently works with sharp knives, utensils, and hot plates. Frequently works in hot environment. Able to work independently and as a team member. Ability to work early morning as well as holidays. Understanding of working with older populationExcellent customer service skills. Previous Food Services experience is preferred.
Job Type: Full-time, 7:30am to 4:00pm M-F, Benefits, 13 paid holidays
Salary: $16.50 - $17.50 per hour
