Job Description

Located in Valencia, CA, The Attraction Services Company designs and fabricates some of the most innovative and exciting effects in the entertainment industry. Our specialties include flame and atmospheric effects, show action equipment, and animatronics, featured in some of the most renowned theme parks and attractions in the world. With a staff of 60 and 45,000 sq. foot facility, we are able to take on projects of all sizes. We have an LA City Fabrication license, and in house Certified Weld Inspector and all of our welders are AWS certified. We are also an approved UL508A Electrical panel building facility.


We are presently seeking a highly motivated electrical designer to join our team. To be successful in this role, you must be a results-oriented problem solver and work well both on your own and in a team environment. This role requires a self driven individual with diligence in delivering to all applicable specifications as well as the ability to adjust to change.


 Responsibilities include

·         Understand, develop and review systems, software and hardware designs, including facility inputs

·         Ensure that all the performance and design specifications have been met, all tests have been conducted at the factory and the installation site, and acceptance testing and commissioning is completed

·         Maintain current design documentation

·         Manage fabrication of the control systems, both internally and externally

·         Provide technical and administrative oversight for the system design, engineering, installation and commissioning

·         Knowledge of technologies methodologies that could enhance performance or reduce the cost of developing or maintaining systems; adapt quickly to new innovation within the marketplace


       5 years of experience in the electrical design and engineering field as related to controlling electromechanical systems

       Broad system engineering experience with the integration of mechanical and electrical systems

       Experience with the hardware and/or software requirements, development, design, engineering, test methodologies, and field installation

       Knowledge of Programmable Controllers and/or General Purpose Computers used in industrial and safety applications

       Able to provide technical guidance at a systems software or hardware level

       Knowledge of relevant Industrial Standards

       Ability to read architectural, as well as mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic drawings

       Experience in drafting

       Strong communication skills across design disciplines


Required Education

·         Associate’s degree in electrical design or engineering

·         Some Engineering Coursework highly preferred

·         Control Systems Engineering and/or Control Theory a plus
