The Santa Clarita Community College District/College of the Canyons is seeking a part-time Program Specialist II (School of Personal and Professional Learning)(72.5%) in the Instruction Division.

"BIG PICTURE" RESPONSIBILITY:

Under the supervision of the Dean of Academic Innovation and Continuing Education, is the primary contact for the Community Education department. Supports the development and expansion of Community Education programming to meet the needs of the community. Performs a variety of responsible, complex, and administrative tasks for the School of Personal and Professional Learning. Prepares budget reports, account reconciliations, analysis, and adjustments. Coordinates activities, events, and programming as the Community Education liaison with both internal and external stakeholders. Provides work direction to assigned personnel. Performs other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience:

Education equivalent to an Associate’s degree (60 semester units). Two additional years of administrative or financial record management experience in addition to that identified above may be substituted for each year (30 semester units) of the educational requirement.


Education:

Two (2) years of full-time administrative support experience, including experience with financial record management and reporting. Requires a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Accounting, financial record monitoring, and reporting as well as administrative support experience with budgets in an educational institution or public sector, or other governmental agency is desirable.
