EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Any combination of education and experience that could likely provide the required knowledge and abilities would be qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
Experience: One year of paid experience working with children,
•Graduation from high school or equivalent. Completion of 30 college semester units, which includes course work directly related to the job, such as child psychology
•Early Child Care or Child Growth and Development may substitute for six (6) months of the required experience.
•Completion of District-approved training program for Paraeducators may substitute for the one year of experience or six (6) of the college semester units.
