Clarus Language Solutions is a Southern California-based provider of a wide range of multilingual solutions for clients across the country, including translation, subtitles, and live interpreting.
We’re in need of a production assistant in our translation department, capable of working remotely. The job would consist of assisting our current translation management staff with the tasks related to several ongoing translation projects. This can range from organizing materials for translation, assigning projects to translators, adjusting layouts, organizing translation projects.
Because our clients are varied, we work with an ever-changing mix of subject areas and languages. But sometimes these tasks are repetitive and numerous. Our ideal candidate would be someone who is comfortable with working on different types of tasks, but also well-suited for spending a lot of time doing the same thing, without losing their attention to detail.
We need someone who is technically adept, comfortable working online, and experienced with Microsoft Office and Google Docs. Experience in the translation industry, while not necessary, is a big plus (especially if you have worked with computer-assisted translation tools such as Trados and Memsource). So is experience with any Adobe Creative Suite programs, and the ability to speak more than one language, so please highlight any relevant skills, education, and experience when applying.
Our offices are in Santa Clarita, CA, but our translation department has been working remotely since 2020, and we plan to keep doing so indefinitely. Your initial schedule would be from 9am to 5pm Pacific Time, Monday through Friday, with possible adjustments in the future based on your time zone.
