Under general supervision, Qtrac Technician will have attention to detail and have strong mechanical aptitude and computer expertise that will enable him/her: •to efficiently manufacture and test, computer-based queuing systems with customized graphics and audio
•to provide technical support of the same products for a nationwide customer base, and
•to maintain a database of product configurations and service records
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Manufacturing: •Read manufacturing work order to build mechanical and electrical assemblies for a customized product
•Performs in-process and final testing on product
•Continually improve the setup, assembly and test procedures used on the new and service product orders
•Monitor inventory levels and alert supervisor or potential material shortages
•Helps monitor productivity by tracking assembled and purchase part quality
•Communicate with engineering on product performance and functionality issues
•Maintain database of product configurations
•Contributes to the development of work instructions, material specifications and other product history documents
•Maintain a clean and safe work area
•Follow all safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions to supervisor
Service & Support:
•Perform technical telephone assistance to a nationwide customer in US, Canada, and Mexico
•Troubleshoot and diagnose product problems and guide customers, using proper techniques, to provide quick resolution.
•When replacement parts are required, assist Inside Sales Team members to order necessary parts, and follow up with customer to properly install the parts and assist them to verify product operation. If necessary, coordinate with Inside Sales team to schedule 3rd party field service to install parts and verify product operation.
•Open and close all technical support calls in required time frames according to policy, completing and providing all necessary documentation to appropriate company personnel.
•Use the highest level of customer relation skills when working with customers. Communicate professionally, respecting the customer, the company and its employees at all times.
•Travel to make field service calls, if directed by management, to meet response times
•Act as a team member to support a variety of service activities, assisting in product development activities or set up equipment at trade shows.
•Keep management informed of service activities, to include, but not limited to changes, problems, concerns and daily reporting of work schedule and work completion throughout the day.

•High School diploma required or equivalent; some technical training.
•Computer hardware and software systems and programs
•Computer networks, network administration and network installation
•Basic soldering and minor repair/modification of computer components.
•Attention to detail.
•Ability to work within time line.
